Thank you for making the decision to join the SFSI volunteer force. We are a team of young champions who are making impact in the world by using our skills to reduce the unemployment rate in Nigeria and Africa at large. We believe that one of the skills people can learn to get jobs and position themselves as relevant people in the workspace is digital skills. We have committed ourselves to teaching at least 1000 students every year, share opportunities with them and help them navigate the world of work. The information you share with us will be treated confidentially and will not be used for any other purpose besides SFSI.
Volunteer positions at SFSI are competitive, always part-time, non-paid, and you will be expected to serve in one of our departments with professionals who have similar interests. Kindly complete all parts of the form and be free to express yourself to the best of your ability.

Your role as a community manager is to act as the bridge between SFSI and the Alumni community. You will aim to create a loyal community connected by a similar interest. You will engage with alumni members and build relationships with them. You are expected to be a people’s person, have excellent communication skills, be creative in coming up with activities to engage the community, have superb time management skills, be experienced in using messaging and other tech tools, respond to enquiries, questions and manage situations in the alumni network.
Your role will be to research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies).
Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services.
Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems.
Create various media versions of testimonials
Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
Update website content as needed
Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
Portfolio of published articles
Experience doing research using multiple sources
Familiarity with web publications
Excellent writing and editing skills in English
Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)

We are looking for a talented Email marketing manager to take the lead with our email marketing strategies. Your main duties include running email marketing campaigns end-to-end, managing email databases and creating newsletters.
If you’re interested in web technologies and can generate innovative ideas to increase open rates and sales, we would like to meet you. As an Email marketing manager, your role is to reach members of our community through email campaigns and inform them about new products, oppotunities and events.
Ultimately, you should be able to promote SFSI and ensure our community stay in touch with our SFSI updates.
Identify target audience and grow our email list

You will be responsible for the administration (including reviewing CV’s) of all aspects of the various work experience processes currently in place (including placement years, Advance Practice Internships & work experience internships).

Implement the procedures of the Internship & Placement team.
Maintain a record of progress and outcomes of all internship activity and produce appropriate reports; to analyse outcomes and assist future planning and targeting; to identify shortfalls and contribute to actions to address.
Produce up-to-date information as required
To contribute to the review of the effectiveness of procedures in use within the Internship team and to suggest and implement improvements.
Bring your experience:
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Access

As a training and development officer, your job is to equip members of the Alumni network with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry on in the market place effectively. You’ll take a strategic approach to training, assessing the skills and knowledge and determining what training is needed to grow and retain these skills. You’ll arrange for a third-party trainer to do it.
Identify training and development needs
Design and expand training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation and the individual
Plan and assess the ‘return on investment’ of any training or development programme
Follow up with trainers before event
Maintain a good relationship with trainers and communicate with them after training
Set up platforms to be used for training
Moderate training and get feedback
Record all trainings and collaborate with the website manager to make them available on our elearning platform
As a Public relations officer, you are responsible for managing the reputation of a company. You’ll write press releases, deal with press enquiries, and sometimes manage crises.
Your job includes:
planning PR campaigns and strategies
distribution information about our cohort programs to websites
monitoring the public and media’s opinion of the organisation
writing and editing press releases, speeches, newsletters, websites and social media
representing the company at events such as press launches, news conferences, exhibitions, open days and sponsorship
developing good working relationships with the media
arranging for advertising or promotional videos to be produced
You’ll need excellent communication skills to do this role.
This role is for students or Pre-NYSC recent graduates. You must have completed school or be in school studying a course that is not time consuming. Being in a student organisation and being a people’s person is a plus. You must also love technology, technology education and have a future in technology.
